Mud & Manure - What to Know Before Winter Hits!

Presented by the Snohomish Conservation District

Description: Help keep the waters of the Quilceda and Allen watersheds clean, decrease chore time, and make better use of your farms resources. Bobbi Lindemulder, SCD Small Farm Planner, is bringing her popular 'Mud and Manure' presentation to residents of the Quilceda and Allen watersheds. Come to the Fidelity Grange on Wednesday night, November 3rd, to learn what you can do to prepare your farm for winter. Don't be caught with your animals up to their knees and wondering whether or not you should order yet another load of hogfuel! Learn about preventative measures, cost sharing for some practices, and techniques for reducing the waste stream produced by your farm.

Knotweed Symposium

Presented by the Snohomish Conservation District

Description: Learn and share stories on knotweed control at this free event will be held at the Snohomish County PUD building in Everett on Wednesday, November 10th. It is geared for landowners, noxious weed control staff, agencies, tribes, parks and other entities dealing with this very invasive and ubiquitous weed. Plan to spend the day and help us rid Snohomish county of this plant. Focus on Farming Conference - November 18, Monroe Fairgrounds This event is being spearheaded by Snohomish County and promises to be a great conference for Snohomish county producers. King County Extension Education Nights

Logistics: The sessions will be held on the second Wednesday evening of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. at the WSU King County Extension office, 919 S.W. Grady Way in Renton.

Description: Are you curious about your local environment? Want to find out what you can do to care for our water, land, forest and local food systems? Washington State University King County Extension is pleased to announce Extension Education Nights, a free monthly educational series designed to offer residents of King County useful stewardship information. Community members can pick and choose the topics that interest them. Each session will be presented by WSU King County Extension staff and volunteers.
