Artist Statement.
Artists are visionaries in society. Art helps us to see or feel in a new way that may change us, and hopefully nourish and nurture us. Artists are a reflection of the society in which they live, but they also hold the ability to manifest and inspire - and the responsibility that goes with it.

From a very young age, I've always been able to see and feel the inter-connectedness of all life-forms in a different way from anyone else I've met.

Most of my life has been lived in remote places, close to nature. Living with nature and spending so much time studying it has opened me up to a rich dream life - even waking visions. That's how most of my paintings begin.

There's a spirit in nature experienced by everyone who approaches it with respect, ready to listen. Ancient Celts, African tribesmen and Native Americans have all felt its power. It's still there today, and it's more important than ever for us to pay attention. It's very strong in the USA, where there's still some wilderness left to protect.
